New Stock

We've been very busy at Mrs MacBeth's over the last few weeks. We had a successful stint at Penryn Arts Festival (read all about it here) and we've opened two new departments- clothing & stationary.

Here are a few of our new items including wrap woven necklaces made with vintage horse brasses. We often saw them in boxes at car boot sales discarded and unloved, we decided to remedy this and let them take centre stage; we hope you like the results!

There are also our one off crocheted ponchos and huipils. Inspired by the colours and vibrancy of South America they make the perfect beach cover up.

Finally there are our little hand painted birdies, there ever so friendly and come in blue or yellow!

Micro Mosaic

To celebrate the bank holiday weekend we thought we'd introduce you to one of the new items in our Vintage Department; an Italian Micro Mosaic pill box. It's ideal for keeping all manner of things in from Homeopathy pills to secret love notes, an engagement ring or even as a pot for your rouge!

With it's delightful floral pattern it's perfect for brightening up any handbag up this summer.

If you like this Italian pill box or want to take a look at our others visit Mrs MacBeth's Department Store

Watering the Plants

Good Morning!

Here at Mrs MacBeth's we have a lot of pot plants, Lally is in charge of watering them all. She doesn't do it with any old watering can though. Oh no! Lally uses a hand painted bargeware kettle to refresh all the plants.

It's rather a time consuming job, watering them all so Lally often stops for a little break in between.

Don't forget to water your plants, you don't want them getting withered (if they do we find a cup of tea usually revives them). If you like the look of Lally's watering can we have this hand painted Czechoslovakian plate, perfect for eating your breakfast from!

Ethel and Mildred's Holiday

Edith and Mildred have gone off on their holidays to Spain. They are under strict orders to not get sunburnt, it's very unbecoming for a model. In fact wouldn't it be a good idea if they took one of our velvet cloche hats with them?

Perhaps this would suit

There isn't that better Ethel?

Vintage Department Opening!

Hip Hip Horray! We have opened our Vintage Department. We have lots of delightful accessories, clothing and home wares to fill it.

Penny has gone off on here holidays to Italia so to celebrate we thought we'd highlight one of our new items from the newly opened Vintage Department; an Italian souvenir tapestry bag! We just love the cow on the back, his expression is a little loopy but in the best possible way and just look at the Colosseum, doesn't it look resplendent in tapestry form?

To see this item (and many others) in more detail please visit Mrs MacBeth's Department Store
